THE FIRE-PROTECTIVE CORRIDOR

The fire-protective corridor is designed for the evacuation of people from zones of fires. The corridor is made up by way of attaching corridor-formed elements to the head element as the advance is occurred into the combustion zone. In this manner a desired length of the corridor is achieved. The screens “Sogda” 3 and “Sogda” 3.01 joined by the canopies may be used as the corridor-formed elements.

The first model of the fire-protective corridor was made and its fire-protective properties tested in Uzbekistan in 1999.

On the conference, different models of screens «Sogda» were demonstrated.  There it is showed the ability of the fire-protective corridor based on screens «Sogda» to protect people effectively against flame. The fragment of a videotape recording presented here demonstrates the protective properties of the head element and the first section of the corridor.
