The screens are designed to protect of operators
of stationary fire-fighting
hoses against
the heat radiation
of fires at facilities
of oil, gas, and fuel industry, chemical industry, timber houses
and other inflammable objects. The screens are mounted on the
water-pipes conveying water into the stationary fire-fighting
hoses and may to rotate around these water-pipes in a
horizontal plane together with the fire-fighting
hoses. The screening
elements of «Sogda» 2 and «Sogda» 2A are similar in design to
the screening elements of «Sogda» 1 and «Sogda» 1A respectively.
The use of these screens enables the operators
of fire-fighting
hoses to
remain at theirs posts, even though the attacking heat flow was strongly
increasing. |
